it was great to be back at north point this past sunday. i love being gone to colorado…i love the weather and the aspens and the smell of pine…i love meeting new guys and catching up with old friends…but there’s nothing like being home with family for worship on sundays!
it felt like homecoming today!
it was great to see new faces.
it was really great to see some faces i haven’t seen in a while…it’s always good to reconnect.
pretty good attendance…lot’s of people still out sick, tho.
i was really looking forward to preaching this text. i’m amazed at the power of god’s word.
foolish, weak, lowly, despised, nobodies…insignificant morons. yup…that’s us.
not many places in the world you can get away with calling people morons…let alone have the freedom to admit you are one!
norman, the challenged youth minister…darrin, the fearless, but blind, youth minister…so what’s your excuse?
o for a 1000 tongues was one of my all time favorite hymns growing up. the crowder version we do is more powerful than the original. i love it!
talk about singing an oldie…ain’t no rock has been around north point for a lot of years. that was a good one to dust off.
you’ll be hearing a lot about the upcoming “north point funday” in the days to come. i’m praying the house will be full to the brim on that sunday (october 25). can you imagine what it would be like to have every chair filled and every voice raised? i get excited just thinking about it.
what can you do to make this an awesome day? what can you do to fill some seats?
what can you do to make volleyball, horseshoes, washers, or basketball a winner?
are you praying the ONE prayer? is there someone on your heart that needs to have an invitation to join us on funday? you may be the only person who can do it.
give it your best this week. no excuses. none. the one who made you is the one who promised to never leave you…and he also promised to give you everything you need to be faithful to serve him.
what a deal!
