i’ve decided to change things up a little. i’m going to put monday morning quarterback on hold for a while and take a look back at more than just this past sunday. some of it will be personal. and a lot of it will be about north point.
i don’t think i warmed up after holiday at the hall until wednesday.
this has been the coldest stretch of weather we have had around here in a while.
we haven’t cleaned the van yet…nor have we taken the float apart, either. maybe i’ll get to it this week.
is it just me, but are you having trouble getting all your christmas stuff up?
i finally got the lights on the house today.
i’m not sure i would bother if it weren’t for my wife…and my number two son…and his wife…and the littlest farra…and his mother. i’m probably not getting out of this task anytime soon.
i’ve been having some great meetings with people during the week!
got everything set up for new year’s eve bowling.
i used to love new year’s eve with the youth group. i have spent a lot of all nighters…half-nighters…wild and outrageous parties…and late night craziness on new years over the past 37 years!
…but bowling on new years with a bunch of friends is pretty hard to beat!
i found out tonight that our advent conspiracy total is now over $9600! amazing. incredible.
i am sooo completely pumped about what this church family is doing to make a difference in the world.
we have now purchased our second fresh water well in india…and moving dangerously close to our third one!
and all of this is possible because we are simply choosing to spend less money on ourselves for christmas.
definitely the best christmas ever…
i helped logan lay some ceramic tile in his house this weekend. my body doesn’t get up and down off the floor like it used to.
this was another one of those strange sundays. lots of people missing.
we had a big group of our people run for team micah in the white rock marathon to benefit the texas scottish rite hospital. way to go!
great parable to preach from today (luke 17:7-10). read it again a few times this week.
i’m serious…we really should add o holy night to our regular song rotation during the year. it’s that good.
kid’s christmas party on sunday afternoon was a success.
cammy may be right…colt may be the answer to the cowboys problems. maybe he could talk his dad into giving up his high school football coaching position at jim ned hs in tuscola. i hear there may be a coaching opening in the deathstar next year.
how ’bout those chargers?
the summer weather was awesome today.
are you in town for christmas eve? which service are you coming to…7:00 or 9:00?
better yet, who are you thinking about inviting?
have a great week. worship fully. spend less. give more. love all.
