well…here are the anxiously awaited weekly stats for January 20-26:
team madre – 27 pounds lost
team padre – 27 pounds lost
no joke…we tied!
after the first two weeks, team padre has just a one pound lead over team madre…just one pound! and between the two teams, we have lost a grand total of 105 pounds!!
that’s incredible.
keep up the great work. when i first came up with this idea, i thought wanda and i might have six or seven people join us…but we were wrong. we have 18 men and 23 women…with more to come.
are you reading this and feeling the urge to join in? do you know you need to lose some weight and get healthier? do you know of someone else who would benefit by the accountability and friendship? then step up and do something about it!
on a personal note, i had a discouraging week…but definitely re-learned a valuable lesson. i stayed on my eating plan perfectly…no fried foods, no sweets, no over-eating, high-fiber, lo-fat, small-but more frequent meals, no late-night eating, lots of water…and no weight loss!
the problem is that i tweaked my back again trying to pull a stump out of our front yard and i am on day five of absolutely no exercise at all. nothing. i’m sure if i would have simply done my normal amount of walking, i would have lost another 2-3 pounds. sheesh.
good eating habits plus moderate exercise equals weight loss and healthier bodies. always has. always will.

have an awesome week. stick to your plan. don’t be discouraged by minor set-backs. pick yourself up and move forward. nobody’s perfect. ask for help. stay in the word. give it your best.
