it’s sunday night. time for my weekly reflection as i watch the usa – canada hockey match…
i’m not a huge hockey fan, but this rivalry with our northern neighbors is pretty intense…and great television.
i’m a little miffed that it’s only being shown on msnbc…instead of prime time on the mighty nbc.
i know that ice dancing is apparently the favorite sport of the masses, but come on…ice dancing instead of hockey?
what is our nation coming to?
back to the week in review. this was a good, productive week.
our mexico trips are really starting to take shape. lots of details are starting to fall into place.
i’m so grateful to be part of church family that believes in these trips…in spite of bad press.

you know how last week i was pretty stoked about my 170 bowling average? not so good this past tuesday.
i’ll be back.
i think bowling should be an olympic sport. look, if curling can make it, surely bowling can.
still doing well on the new eating plan. ten pounds lost in five weeks would have been pretty disappointing on past diets, but this time, it is just perfect. i want to stay on track to lose 1-2 pounds a week for five months. if i can, that will be 25-30 pounds by the beginning of summer. i can’t wait!
serious exercise started on this past thursday. first time i’ve broken out in a full sweat from working out in months. it felt great.
got to see jordan d. play his first college baseball games. it was awesome and brought back some great memories. it will be pretty cool to live through another four years of college bb with a guy i really care about.
for the record, college baseball is the best sport. i don’t care what you say.
pitchers and catchers reported this past week. second best sport. ever.
had a great discussion at bible study on thursday night. it totally changed the focus of my sermon for sunday.
speaking of sunday, this was a great day.
good crowd in both services.
i was a little worried when we had the huge deluge at 9:00. honestly, sometimes it doesn’t take much to affect our attendance…
i was totally pumped to preach today. the great realization of the uniqueness of the gospel of christ, in comparison to all other religious paths, is both comforting and empowering.
to understand that the way of the cross is the way of grace is overwhelming.
i like playing the bass. i actually miss it. i like listening to and watching brandon play waaaaay better, tho…
great spirit in the building this morning. it is so cool to watch our church family acting like a family!
lunch at chipotle is always a good choice.
live like people who have been raised from the dead. give people a reason to ask…
