The church i want to be part of

i was asked today what kind of church i am the pastor of.

i told the guy i was talking to that my greatest priority is to lead a church with the widest front doors possible.   a church where anybody could walk in and know that they would be welcome and they would be loved…no matter what.

along with that, i want to be part of a church that presents the words of god and the call to discipleship clearly.  i want to be part of a church that builds genuine friendships…serves people in need with recklessness…lives and plays with simplicity and winsomeness…and lets god alone be the judge and jury.

i want to be part of a church that believes that jesus is powerful enough to change people…and will not hinder the process.
