Take that, 1980…

the day finally arrived.

shortly after noon today,  september 13, 2011  became the 70th 100-degree day this year,  breaking the record set by the historically brutal heat wave of 1980 in the dallas-fort worth area.

take that historians.   take that dallas good old boys.   the new kids on the block are taking a victory lap as you bask in your memories of the old days,  when life…along with women and children… were tougher.

we win.

in honor of our awesome conquest,  put on your headphones and listen to what was voted the greatest live performance in the history of rock and roll:  queen doing we will rock you  and  we are the champions  at live aid in wembley stadium in 1985.
