I’m so seriously right on this one…

there are many great sporting events.

the world cup…the superbowl…the world series…the bcs championship game…the master’s…wimbledon…the texas 5A state championship football game…the olympic’s 100m dash…the nba finals…march madness…all are great.

but for me,  there is no greater sporting event than the college baseball world series.   it is the absolute best.   everything else falls short.

drama.   passion.   love of the game.   tradition.   unbelievable performances.   heartbreak.   ecstasy.   comebacks.   no overpaid primadonnas.    life and death.   emotion.   underdogs.   the ping of the metal bat.   especially the ping of the bat.

i’m so seriously right on this one.

just kids playing the great game.    goofy superstitions in the dugouts.   laughing.   crying.   parents still watching just like they did when their little boys were playing T-ball.   the game-winning hit.   the dog pile on the infield (better be careful…don’t want to break a bone in your throwing hand).

i’m so right.
